And the world seems a bit more right. I’m swamped with personal and professional duties at the moment, but here is a look at the first farmers’ market bounty of the year:
I woke up bright and early on Saturday to ensure that I could enjoy the best of the season: strawberries, green garlic, and asparagus. So far I’ve made strawberry and rooibos popsicles (not pictured) and strawberry fruit leathers (and mango, too!), both of which have proven to be kid-friendly delights. I created a garlic greens and potato soup, and I roasted the purple and green asparagus with some of the left-over potatoes, drizzled with my signature mustard and shallot vinaigrette. I’ll try to get recipes up later this week.
